Cafe

Welcome to The Dog Chef Cafe, a cozy place where dogs have a seat the table.

The place where I sniff out the tastiest, healthiest bites and graciously let my human share the recipes. Here, we skip the mystery kibble and go straight for drool-worthy meals made with real, wholesome, tail-wagging ingredients.

Now, grab the apron — I’ll grab the taste-testing spoon.

Let’s make some magic in the Dog Chef Cafe!

Our Story

A outline drawing of Lila and Cheryl sitting at a table together

Hi! I’m Lila — Chief Tasting Officer, squirrel chaser, and all-around good girl.

I’m the reason this whole blog started. You see, I’m pretty picky about my food (okay, maybe just a little spoiled), and I definitely prefer snacks I find on my adventures outside over the boring stuff in my bowl. My Mums noticed and decided to get creative in the kitchen to make meals that I actually love — and trust me, I make her work hard. I taste test every recipe and make sure they pass.

It makes my Dad jealous when I get my snacks and treats before him but sometimes I share with him.

Stick around if you want recipes that get tails wagging, full bellies and warm hearts — because in this kitchen, every dish is made with lots of love.

Hi! I’m Cheryl — Head Dog Chef. I used to cook for humans until the day I met my soulmate — my dog, Lila. My life was forever changed.

Lila is a Belgian Malinois who skipped out on army boot camp and ended up in kitchen camp.

Now my kitchen tips are in tail wags and bum wiggles, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This blog is where my culinary skills and nutritionist mind meet Lila’s taste tests. Together, we craft whole food, drool-worthy recipes that dogs love and pawrents feel great about serving and sharing.

Welcome to our kitchen where four legged and two legged friends share the table for family meals, snack time and every special occasion.

What you will dig into here.

I know how hard it can be to find the right information when it comes to feeding your dog. There’s so many diets out there and most of them are full of rules and weighed portion controls.

What I know to be true is: you know your dog best. And I know how much you love them and how deeply you want them to live forever.

As you explore the kitchen with your dog, they will guide you. They will tell you if it’s too much or too little. They will show you their favourites and their favourites are often nutritional needs.

This blog is where tail wags meet taste buds, but rest assured every recipe is created to keep your dog healthy and happy with warm bellies, full hearts and a long life.

Whether you’re here to spoil your pup, tackle picky eating, manage a health diagnosis or create more joy in your daily life, you’re in the right place — because in this kitchen, dogs have a seat at the table.
